Instrument and Voice Lessons

If you are interested in learning to play an instrument or are interested in voice lessons you can sign up for the

ARLINGTON INSTRUMENTAL/VOICE PRIVATE LESSON PROGRAM

Based at Arlington High School the private instrumental/voice lesson school has been offering private lessons to students in the community over several decades. The program offers piano, all strings (violin, viola, cello and string bass), woodwind (clarinet, flute, oboe, saxophone and bassoon), brass (French horn, trumpet, trombone, baritone, euphonium and tuba), percussions and all voices lessons.

Students receive one on one lessons (once a week) from professional instrumentalists and vocalists around greater Boston area. There are two semesters in each school year: Fall (September through January) and spring (February through June).

Students can sign up fourteen one-hour, 45-minute or 30-minute lessons. The lessons are held during the afterschool hours (Monday through Friday) and scheduled between the instructors and students with their mutually convenient time. The lessons are first come and first serve base. Once the registration form is received, if there are available time slots, the coordinator will assign the students to instructors and the instructors will contact students to schedule the lessons directly.

The coordinator of this program is Ms. Jing-Huey Wei. You can email her for more details.

More information including Term and Conditions, Faculty and the Application Form can be found on the Arlington Instrumental/Voice Private Lesson Program website.

Once a student has learned how to play an instrument, he or she need to contact the OMS Band or Orchestra director to set up an appointment to see if they are ready for the ensemble experience. Everyone is encouraged to do so!
