Band

 

The Ottoson School Band is directed by Ms.Paula Demetrio and it is open to all students already playing a woodwind, brass, or percussion instrument.

 

Rehearsals are in the cafeteria.

 

 

The Jazz Ensemble is an ensemble that is open to 6th, 7th and 8th grade students in the band program, who play Alto/Tenor/Bari Sax, Trumpet, Trombone, Tuba, Baritone, String Bass, Electric Guitar, Piano (Advanced Piano Students), and Drum Set (Advanced set students). Acceptance is by audition and not everyone who auditions will have a place in the ensemble. The ensemble is made up of saxes, trumpets, trombones, 1 drum set, 1 guitar, 1 bass, 1 piano.

 

Jazz Ensemble rehearses on Wednesday afternoons from 2:25-3:40PM (rehearsals are mandatory) on the stage in the wood gym or in Room 215 (a schedule of rehearsals and their locations will be handed out at the first rehearsal).
