Principal Rubino's Newsletter

This past week was a busy week. Along with everyday teaching and learning, students also participated in anti-bullying and anti-cyberbullying assemblies. This week during advisory, students will have an opportunity to engage in dialogue around what they learned. These are heavy and difficult topics to discuss because relational aggression in middle school is real and social and peer conflict is something students do learn to navigate, particularly during the middle school years.

Some key points:

Bullying happens when someone has more power, it’s repetitive and is done ON PURPOSE to make someone else feel bad about themselves.

Relational aggression is a social behavior with the goal of destroying friendships. Typically this is done through exclusions, rumors, gossips, etc. This is more common than bullying and can be more impactful.

Welcome

Welcome to our school! We believe that parent participation is key to student success: our website is designed to provide parents with all the information they need to be active participants in their student's education. Some pages are under construction and will be updated soon.  You will find that the site works just as well on mobile devices as it does on a desktop so you can find information on the go.
